In 1934, Lithuanian immigrant Stanley Blinstrub opened a nightclub, Blinstrub’s Village, which became one of the largest night clubs on the East Coast. It was Boston's quintessential "Supper Club," with a meal and a floor show. Performers included Bobby Vinton, Diana Ross & The Supremes, Jerry Vale, Wayne Newton and the McGuire Sisters, national acts worthy of Vegas billing. Unfortunately, a massive 1968 fire forced "Blinnie's" to close.
