In 1827, John Durgin, Eldridge Park, and John G. Chandler purchased the dining hall where Durgin-Park now resides. After Durgin and Park passed away, Chandler renamed the restaurant in 1877 after his former partners. Its remained a Boston Institution, until now.
Sadly, Durgin Park is closing its doors, DOB remembers it fondly.
